From your first message to an interview, writing, editing, and a printed newspaper at your door, it's about a four-week process.
1. You complete an intake form
You submit an intake form answering questions about your relationship. We screen for story richness before accepting a commission. Not every story is right for this format.
2. We discover and interview you
We schedule a 20-minute call to confirm fit and scope. If we proceed, you will receive an invoice within 24 hours. A 60-minute recorded interview follows. You'll get a photo request from us.
3. We report, write, and design
Original stories are written and laid out in InDesign. Front page, features, sidebars, mock ads, photo essays, back cover. We may send you follow-up questions if we need more materials.
4. Your receive PDF and printed versions
You get one round of revisions. After that, your edition goes to print and ships directly to you — PDF and 5 printed copies.

Structural revisions (new stories, section changes, narrative reframing) are outside scope and quoted separately at $50/hour. Payment must be made in full before the work begins. A 50–70% kill fee applies depending on production stage.If you require additional printed copies beyond the 5 included, these will be quoted separately based on your location and quantity.
